Join us for our Bikes to Books event on
Sunday, November 17th!
We’re combining two great family events into one- a LGBTQ+ (& loved ones) Bike Ride, and a Book Meet-Up!
Our bike riders will meet at 9AM in front of the EOC LGBTQ+ Resource Center at 1252 Fulton St downtown. Kickstands up at 9:30am for a fairly flat, 4 mile ride to Gazebo Gardens, where the Book Nerding will take place!
Folks who don’t want to participate in the ride can simply show up at Gazebo Gardens at 10AM- bring a few books to swap out (queer books highly encouraged!) and do some crafts with us- perhaps bookmark making! There will be food trucks onsite for snack or brunch purchases. At 11:30 the riders will depart back to the Resource Center- the book folks are welcome to stay and enjoy more time chatting and book nerding at the Gardens.
Schedule:
9am: Bike riders meetup at EOC LGBTQ+ Resource Center
9:30: Kickstands up for the ride to Gazebo Gardens
10AM: Book folks and bikers all arrive at Gazebo Gardens (approximate time) for food truck brunches, book swapping, crafts, and shared community fun!
11:30: Bikers depart for Resource Center, book folk welcome to stay and enjoy the Gardens and each other’s company
Must be 18+ or accompanied by parent/guardian. Bikers must sign waiver and wear a helmet in good condition at all times during the ride. No helmet, no ride.
Waiver is available here: please either fill out in advance or have your phone available to fill it out online at the start of the ride (in advance is preferable so we can get riding sooner!)
